Safely Delete TMP files

I am sure you came across TMP files, wondered what they are and wished if you could delete them.
TMP files are temporary files created by setup programs and by some application while running, although the majority of these files are deleted by the application itself still you could find many of them under
c:\windows\temp just taking space on your computer. The good news is that you can delete them.
First make sure that they are not used by the system just look at each file's date,
if it's like more than one week old you can delete it safely.
Lots of tmp files have 0K length, always deleted them. The safest way to delete TMP files is by restarting the computer in MS-DOS mode. Press
Start>>Shut Down
and click
Restart in MS-DOS mode.
