Show extensions of all
file types
If
you're familiar with DOS, you know what's an
extension: this is just
the 3 letters at the end of the file e.g yourpage.txt
.txt is the extension for text files. In Windows right-click
any file and select
Properties to get the extension. Normally you
cannot see the file extension
you only get the filename. To show all file extensions
simply press
Start>>Settings>>Folder Options... In
the next window uncheck
"Hide file extensions for known file types"
and press OK.
Check
the Clipboard
You
always work with the Clipboard without knowing it. Every
time you
Copy or Cut something, the data is stored
in Windows Clipboard.
To access the Clipboard Viewer simply go to Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>System
Tools then click Clipboard Viewer.
To have fast access, you can create a shortcut for the
Clipboard and place it on your Desktop. Clipboard is
located at C:\WINDOWS\CLIPBRD.EXE
