Save Disk Space
Did
you even notice...
You have a folder on your desktop that contains all your
files:
photos, txt files, sounds...
One day you checked your HardDrive and noticed that more
than 10MB were missing, you checked the FOLDER size, it
says 3.02 MB Contains 347 files, 0 Folders
So
you wondered: it's 3MB why 10MB are missing. Believe me no
black holes in your computer, this gap is caused by the
347 files. Never store more than 100 files in one folder,
take the advice. Always create sub-folders (sub-categories)
in your Folder. e.g a folder for sounds and one for
images...
If the files are numerous you can group them by topic or
similarity.
To see if you're wasting space, just select all the files
in the folder and click properties, see how much is USED.
Remember to compare with the real space (took by the
files).
If the two numbers are close enough you don't have to
worry.
The best you can do is: Always use sub-folders.
