| Useful SEND TO Use SEND TO to make copies of your files onto Floppies. Suppose you want to make a copy of a file, instead of double-clicking My Computer then Floppy, you can right-click the file and select Send To Floppy. You can also send files to My Documents or even send them to a folder of your choice. Here's how to customize Send To: Create a ShortCut for the FOLDER you will be using the Send To feature with (right-click and select Create Shortcut) then CUT (CTRL X) Go to RUN type sendto, now PASTE (CTRL V) Rename the shortcut into something informative... Now you have the shortcut in the Send To menu, you can send any file to the designated folder. Send To is very useful, you can even create a shortcut to a program e.g Notepad Normally when you open an HTML file, the browser takes on. By placing a shortcut to your notepad in sendto, you can edit the html source code. The trick is useful when two or more programs share the same extension (PKWARE and WINZIP), you can decide which program to use. |
