Protect WINDOWS with a
Screen Saver
The Windows logon password is somehow
weak, by pressing CANCEL you can still gain access. The
trick is to use a password protected screen saver
launched at StartUp to restrict access. Here's how you
can do it:
Open WINDOWS folder (c:\windows) select a Screen Saver (.scr) and
COPY. Go to C:\WINDOWS\Start
Menu\Programs\StartUp
right-click and Paste Shortcut, remember to Password
Protect your screen saver (right-click on desktop and
select PROPERTIES) Click on the
Screen Saver Tab, select the same screen saver (you used
to create the shortcut) and set a password.
Create
your own Icons
Not quite satisfied with Windows icons, do you want more
?
In fact you can create your own icons, it's very easy.
Use Paint
at
Start - Programs - Accessories and design your image,
remember to keep the size 32x32 pixels (default size
for icons) When saving just type something like my-icon.ico
Make sure you specify an ico extension, 32x32 pixels and
256 colors.
