Final
word on installation 1/2 Hope you enjoyed last week Tutorial install/upgrade, I am sure you've been asking yourself about setting up your hardware e.g Video Card, Printer Scanner, Mouse, Modem and other devices you might have. Common Devices hooked to any computer are the Mouse, Video Card (to output an image to the screen), a Keyboard, maybe a Printer. In order to attach any device to your computer you need something called a driver. A Driver enables Windows to identify and communicate with the piece of hardware. You can find the Driver on floppies/CD shipped with the product. Windows98 includes tons of drivers for many devices: Video Cards, CD-Roms, Printers. In most cases you will not need a driver for your Keyboard. I am sure Windows98 will recognize every single device attached to your system, make sure you have the Driver disk for each device just in case. Never plug something to your computer while it's ON, serious damages can happen. Always turn it off by removing any power supply. |
