| Launch the same
application when Windows starts If you always start your day with the same program e.g Word, Outlook Express, let Windows automatically launch it for you when it starts. First make a shortcut for the program (right-click and select Create Shortcut) Now CUT the shortcut and go to Startup folder: right-click on START button and select Open go to Programs>>Startup and Paste the shortcut there. Make sure you don't load too many programs at Startup, this will make your system run slower. Keep your system in shape Take care of your computer by performing a routine scandisk at least once a week. Scandisk is a utility that comes with Windows that allows you to check your computer for errors and eventually fix them. To launch scandisk, go to Run and type scandisk Scandisk can be also found at Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools. |
